CONGRATS to the newly accepted 2018! (+ some handy links from past blog posts to aid in your transit

Congrats to those who recently heard today that they were accepted into Columbia Nursing! If you were waitlisted, there's still hope! If you did not receive admission, hang in there, stay positive and keep striving if you truly believe becoming a nurse/nurse practitioner is your calling!

For those of you who were accepted and on the fence, my advice... try to get in touch with current students and pick their brains -- ask them what they liked, what they didn't like, etc. You want to make sure the school is the right fit for YOU. There are multiple factors that come into play when deciding which school/program is the right fit -- location, price tag, cost of living, career goals, etc. If you have any questions, please interact with me! Either through the public comments down below, or you can contact me personally through the "Contact Me" tab up above.

Here's the blog post I wrote for my "Top 5 Reasons Why I Chose Columbia" -- http://www.sincerelymeagan.com/single-post/2016/03/25/Top-5-Reasons-Why-I-Chose-Columbia I mean... don't get me wrong... there are still things I find frustrating about the program/school... every program will have its faults. That is why I highly suggest talking to current students and weighing pros and cons!

If you are already set on coming to Columbia... welcome to the Columbia Nursing family! I hope to see you around campus! I won't be a student ambassador this year, so won't be able to meet any of you at Visiting Day. But if you see me... come say hi!! I love meeting my readers!! :) And always feel free to reach out to me throughout your time here at Columbia.

Here are some useful blog posts I have written in the past to help those who will be attending Columbia Nursing (these might be especially useful to those coming from California or another state as my first time coming to NYC and the East Coast in general was to come visit Columbia!)

Those are essentially all the important things I want to get out there for all you future nursing students! I hope you find these helpful! Please leave me comments if there is anything else you would want me to post about in the future! Good luck with everything!

Sincerely,

Meagan

P.S. I have gotten a lot of emails lately about paying for the program! I guess I'll try to whip up a post about this some time next week. You will all be getting a financial aid package from the financial aid department as well, so hang tight! All will make more sense eventually!

Show me some love!
