HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and start to the New Year. I had such an amazing time with family during the Christmas holiday. I was able to spend some time with my cousins on my dad's side of the family, and then spent time with my cousins on my mom's side as well. Feeling super grateful that I am able to have so much family around me. The holidays can be tough for some people, but there are always people who have open hearts and open homes to welcome one another. Friends can be family, too. Wherever you are and whoever you are, I hope you can look forward to greater and happier moments this coming year!
I spent the few days after Christmas in Mammoth Lakes with some friends from college. We rent a cabin every year and I was able to make it again this year for the 3rd annual trip so far. Fun times! Also super grateful to be able to share this tradition with brilliant minds -- future MDs, DO, PT, PA, OT, fellow nurses, future pilot, and future coffee shop owner/ event planner. We all hit the slopes the first day. Some of us ventured to finding some natural hot springs in the middle of nowhere the second day! The time in Mammoth is filled with mini adventures, laughs, TONS of bored games, white elephant, and just spending quality time together in the presence of one another.
Here's a mini picture recap:
I have to say... 2017 was a pretty dang good year! This past year alone, I completed my Master's degree, passed the NCLEX licensing board exam to become a RN, and completed my first semester as a DNP student on my road to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have a good feeling about 2018. Hoping the momentum continues to flow! For all of us! Keep striving and setting bigger and grander goals!
