I don't know about you, but I am a pretty huge fan of personality tests! I think they help me understand who I am, my strengths, weaknesses, how I interact with others, etc. If you haven't heard of 16 personalities, I HIGHLY suggest this website --> https://www.16personalities.com/ It takes about 5-10 minutes depending on your speed. They give you an amazing breakdown of your personality type (5 letter code) and goes into 1. Introduction 2. Strengths & Weaknesses 3. Romantic Relationships 4. Friendships 5. Parenthood 6. Career Paths 7. Workplace Habits 8. Conclusion
WHO AM I? ENFJ-T. --> https://www.16personalities.com/enfj-personality
Mind - Extraverted.
Apparently I am PRETTY SPLIT between E (extroverted) and I (introverted) at the top. 53% vs 47%. I take these personality tests about once a year since personalities can definitely change depending on who you surround yourself with. I honestly feel more introverted, and I would believe some of my closest friends would say I am a little more shy and quiet, but I guess if I am placed in the situation where I need to be more extroverted, I can do so??? I do like the idea that I am somewhere in between.
Energy - Intuitive.
Hmmm.. INTERESTING! ANOTHER SPLIT! 53% Intuitive vs 47% Observant. I feel as though I was pretty strong towards intuitive in the past, but I have seen changes in the past few years that I am becoming more observant, which I believe is a pretty good thing!
Nature - Feeling.
I have always been clearly more Feeling (65%) than Thinking (35%) aha.
Tactics - Judging.
I have also been more Judging (64%) vs Prospecting (36%). This does not mean I am JUDGY, people! Judging means that my decision making and ways to approach situations are more about planning. The tactic category is how we approach life. Judgers approach things with more structure and order.
Identity - Turbulent.
Oooh, interesting it looks like I have been a little less Turbulent (53%) compared to Assertive (47%). Haha. I used to have a clearly higher percentage for turbulence. I find this to be a good thing, haha. I am trying to be more assertive. There are definitely ways you should approach assertiveness so that you aren't coming off overbearing, bossy, or rude.
Some random things from the website I found interesting about by strengths and weaknesses -->
Strengths --> Tolerant, reliable, charismatic, altruistic, natural leader
Weaknesses --> Overly idealist, too selfless, too sensitive, fluctuating self-esteem, struggle to make tough decisions
There is also another personality test called the Enneagram test which also takes 5-10 minutes, and is shorter than the 16 personalities test. You can take the classic enneagram test here: https://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/test
WHO AM I? TYPE 3, 3w4 wing --> https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/type-3/
The Success-Oriented, Pragmatic Type: Adaptable, Excelling, Driven, and Image-Conscious
I found this kind of interesting! So in brief, I have a
Basic Fear: Of being worthless
Basic Desire: To feel valuable and worthwhile
Enneagram Three with a Two-Wing: "The Charmer"
Enneagram Three with a Four-Wing: "The Professional" --> I am this one. 3w4.
Key Motivations: Want to be affirmed, to distinguish themselves from others, to have attention, to be admired, and to impress others.
I guess I would agree with much this personality test had to say! I also really liked the Enneagram test because the results section also included Personal Growth Recommendations which I really appreciated. Some of the things Type 3 personalities can work on --
Being honest with myself and others
Developing charity and cooperation in my relationships
Developing social awareness
Invest time in discovering my own core values
