Columbia Nursing Alumni Reunion 2017
It's always an exciting time for me when I get to be a part of alumni events. There's something incredibly empowering about being in a room full of inspirational alumni. I get the opportunity to speak with alumni who graduated in the '50s and '60s. They speak so highly of the nursing profession and tell you all about how much nursing has changed throughout the years for the better. It's motivating and exciting!
During this year's alumni reunion, I was able to dress up in authentic, traditional uniforms that Columbia nursing students wore back in the '60s. Everyone looked amazing, and it was wonderful to see the alumni smile and reminisce about their nursing school days. I have to say... these stiff nursing school uniforms were not the easiest to put on or to wear throughout the day. Thank goodness for modern day scrubs! Am I right??!
Excited for future events to come! Columbia Nursing definitely knows how to put on quality events that really inspire and make people feel like a part of a special community.
