Hazelnut Trail at San Pedro Valley County Park

My mom and I decided to take it easy and do the 4(ish) mile hike in Pacifica, CA, about a thirty minute drive from San Francisco. This hike is doable for any level of hiker. We went during the afternoon, and it was surprisingly warm. We should have worn a little less clothing. My mom ended up taking off that jacket she is wearing in the photo. TIP: Park in the residential neighborhood to avoid paying the park parking fee. The walk is short to the trailheads. Overall, nice easy hike, not as much scenery compared to other hikes we have done, but nonetheless, we got a good workout in and got some fresh air. We got to see a bunch of deer grazing on the grass at the beginning of the hike which was a neat sight to see! What is cool about this park is that there are several trails ranging from easy to moderate/difficult, short to long. We will definitely be back to try out a couple more!

SUMMARY:

Length: 4.6 mi
